In a time where COVID-19 has restricted our opportunities to dance and have fun, “Light Up (Grown Folks Mix)” keeps hope alive for brighter days

Y’all ready to shake out (not physically since we can’t really party safely)! If so, then R&B veteran Vivian Green got some groove for that ass! The talented songstress releases the brand new single, “Light Up (Grown Folks Mix),” and it’s a bop.

On the track, produced by Kwame, Viv draws inspiration from Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King’s “Love Come Down” and adds her unique spin for a funky, well-tooled, and nostalgic gem. Vivian’s emotionally-rich tone is also supported by a riveting baseline, well known from Grandmaster Flash’s “White Lines.”

In a time where COVID-19 has restricted our opportunities to dance and have fun, “Light Up (Grown Folks Mix)” keeps hope alive for brighter days. Light em’ up, but please, don’t burn down your house! LOL Just Sayin!

Vivian Green has received much success with her remake of classic songs, including “Get Right Back To My Baby,” which reached No. 2 on Billboard’s UAC chart. Vivian Green’s last album was 2017’s VGVI, her sixth. She confirmed on Twitter about her next project, “Album 7 – Complete ! Stay tuned for pre order date ! Missed y’all !”
